Hello! I’m Meg,

An author, designer, educator & enthusiastic entrepreneur dedicated to helping you find the success you’re looking for.

Born and raised in Idaho with nothing more than passion, a pen and a dream, I’m proud to have created a successful retail business that inspires many.

Through our award-winning shop Finer Frames, on-line training program and books, I help people like you dream big and back it up with practical actions that create results.

How did I get started in this?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved building things. As a young girl, I played in my Dad’s wood shop building stables for my Barbie horses. Wood and sawdust were second nature to me. So when I had the opportunity to study the art of picture framing from artisan framer in Portugal, I’d found my true calling.

I started my company in 1999 at age 27 with an unshakeable belief that no matter the competition, they will always make room at the top, so I set out to be the best I could become. Within 3 years, I was recognized as one of the top frame shops in the nation. That was followed by Meridian’s Small Business of the Year in 2002, Woman of the Year in 2005, Larson-Juhl’s Design Star in 2013 and Idaho Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017.

My favorite quote by Winston Churchill:
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

I’m so grateful to my parents for teaching me the value of giving more than you get. It’s in that spirit that I have dedicate to helping other entrepreneurs like you gain the skills needed to be as successful as you want to be.

Which brings me to you

I’m here to serve. My company is built on a bedrock of practical experience and a commitment to be an unstoppable force for good in the world. Through our podcast, newsletter, books and seminars I’m in this to make a difference. I want to help you find the skills and tools to thrive in business and achieve personal satisfaction and happiness.

Whether you’re starting or growing a business, I’m here to help you reach your highest potential.

Why I want to help

I’ve talked to framing retailers all across the country and I’ve seen the struggle. I’ve struggled. I’ve worked 12 hour days, 7 days a week. I’ve napped on the shop floor sick with the flu, but had to be there. I’ve started over three times, moved twice. I’ve had a crappy boss and employees that drove me nuts. I’ve had one husband that never supported me and one that encourages me in every way. I’ve survived economic disasters, recessions, business-killing road construction and personal tragedies. Being an entrepreneur is hard.

I don’t have all the answers. I make mistakes. I have epically awful days and get bogged down with self-doubt just like everyone else.

But I have a commitment to share with you the very best that I’m learning. Please don’t expect me to be perfect, but you can expect thought provoking ideas, practical wisdom and enthusiasm for becoming the best you can be.

Thank you for reading this far. I hope this is just the beginning of our relationship and I’d love to learn more about you. The best way to stay connected is to become one of our MG Insiders. It’s where it’s at for free training for marketing your business. Just enter your name and email.
